Mediacom Self Install

Mediacom Self Install Modem

Well, having lived in southern Delaware for many years now, we've had the pleasure (honestly) of dealing with Mediacom for our cable and internet, and all has been well.
In a few short weeks, however, it will be back to college for me and my new apartment, and at the same time, also a new account with Comcast for my cable and internet up there. Went through ComcastCableOffers.com to sign up for a 12-month TV & internet deal, and then called Comast yesterday to set up the install. It's for this upcoming Saturday, which will also be the first start of move-in at the new apartment, with a 1-4 install time window. So far, all has gone well, despite the horror stories.
That said, I'm trying to find out what's the best way to handle the install. I'll have 1 TV and then both my laptop and desktop, but was only planning on bringing my TV and laptop up this first day along with another new router I bought, just so those could both be hooked up and then I could add my desktop in with my final junk move in. Assuming the tech actually shows, anyone think this would be a problem, having the laptop and router and just saying (or not?) that I'll also be adding my desktop in a couple of weeks?
Also, in addition to the question of the computers being there, issue or not, do they typically try and install additional software junk, or just get the connection working and be done with it? Again, with our Mediacom, it was a simple self install kit and just selecting not to install any additional software..but I have no idea how Comcast does things.
TV shouldn't be an issue, but we'll also see. Any and all comments and suggestions are more than welcome!

Alfa awus036h windows 10 driver. If you are looking how to install ALFA AWUS036H on Windows 10, Windows 8, or Windows 8.1 then you will need to install the drivers manually. The drivers can be installed manually if. Apr 10, 2016  And once I upgraded to windows 10 my IDT sound driver, Alfa AWUS036H and so many other apps were corrupted / defunct. Windows 10 is an immature OS with a lot of backward compatibility issues. The installation of older apps in compatibility mode is seemed to be an eyewash. A video walk through is at the bottom of the page. The Alfa AWUS036H USB adapter/dongle is a good USB adapter that has been around for many years. The legacy 802.11g products from Alfa seem to work on Windows 10 using the 12/2009 driver for Windows 7, but it must be loaded manually instead of via the Windows 7 installer. In some cases, the driver update wizard can help.
